Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy techniques to master and reduces the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell studied and worked at the top New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing opportunity for me. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working at the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. Burrell gained a greater appreciation of Italian culture and cuisine while in Italy, which has influenced the way she cooks. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board member, which aims to increase living conditions for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. As an inspirational speaker, she makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels very fortunate to share what I love most to others.
