Dawson, born May 9, 1979 [3in America] is an American actress. Her first
feature film came out in the independent drama Kids. Her subsequent film roles
include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II
(2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks II (2006), Death Proof (2007),
Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
(2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011), Trance (2013), Top Five (2014)
and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson also voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC
Comics and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. As part of her character
in Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress
Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated for the Critics Choice
Movie Award for the category of Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was born on May
9 1979 in New York City. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, is of Afro-Cuban and
Puerto Rican ancestry. Isabel was 16 years old at the time that Rosario was
born. Isabel was never married to Rosario's father, Patrick C. Harris. When
Rosario was only a year old, her mother got married to Greg Dawson, a
construction worker. In this union, Dawson has a half-brother, Clay, who is four
years her junior. Dawson is also known for her roles in comic adaptations of
books. They include Gail Sin City (2005), Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to
Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on the
DC Animated Movie Universe. The actress also plays the role of Barbara
Gordon/Batgirl for The Lego Batman Movie. In 2020, she voiced Ahsoka Tano in
the second season of The Mandalorian, and is set to star in the upcoming
Disney+ original series Ahsoka. She also has a recurring part in the Dwayne
Johnson autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in 2021.
