Anita Ekberg
Kerstin Marianne Ekberg (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29 September 1931-11 January 2015.) was an Swedish actress, most well-known for her stunning body and stunning beauty. Her fame was heightened by her iconic role in the role of Sylvia in the Federico Fellini film La Dolce Vita (1960). Ekberg was born in Sweden on 29 September 1931. She was the sixth child of eight. As a teenager, Anita worked as a fashion model. At the request from her mother Ekberg was a contestant in Miss Malmo in 1950. The result was that she won the Miss Sweden contest. Despite speaking little English she travelled to the United States to compete in the Miss Universe 1951 title. It was an non-official pageant at the time. The pageant officially became officially recognized in 1952. Ekberg didn't win the Miss Universe pageant. However she was one of six finalists.
